  • VISA INFORMATION

The Conference will be pleased to send an official letter of invitation to any attendee making such a request. It is understood that such an invitation is intended to help potential attendees obtain travel funds or a visa. The letter does not constitute any financial commitment on the part of the conference. Upon request of the delegate, ICSPI 2016 Organizing Committee will provide an invitation or visa letters that is a required document for your visa application to those delegates with a paid conference registration.

Please note that the names and addresses on all invitation or visa letters must be the same names as provided at the online registration. In order to complete the invitation or visa letters, please send copy of your passport to icspi@ui.ac.id .

You should apply for a visa in person at your nearest Indonesian Embassy or Consulate in your country, although it’s possible to obtain Indonesian visas in other countries while you’re on extended trip. To apply for a visa, you must complete the application form, which can be downloaded from many consular websites. Before you plan your visit, you should find out if you need a visa to enter Indonesia. Please visit at the website of Ministry of Foreign Affair of Indonesia to find out if you need to apply for a visa and for further information. Regulations vary from country to country, and often times, from year to year.

Indonesia also have Visa on Arrival (VOA) to Indonesia. In accordance with the Regulation of Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia No. M. HH-01.GR-01.06 year dated 12 January 2010 , citizens from 62 countries and 1 region are eligible for applying a VOA. This visa can be obtained directly when you arrive at certain airports and seaports in Indonesia, regardless of the purpose of your visit (Business, Tourist, Social-Cultural).

Visa on Arrival is neither a work visa nor a visit visa. Therefore, it can not be extended or converted into another immigration permit. The maximum stay permitted is thirty (30) days and could be extended (one time) for a maximum thirty (30) days  The general requirements for visa on arrival are:

  • The applicant’s passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry.
  • Round-trip airplane ticket, with fees up to 7 days US$ 10  and up to 30 days: US$ 25.

  • ACCOMODATION - HOTEL INFORMATION

The ICSPI venue is Sanur Paradise Plaza Hotel, a recommended hotel to stay during the conference held. The Sanur Paradise Plaza Hotel is a four-star resort which commands a strategic location, just minutes from great shopping and the beach, as well as the cultural and natural attractions of Bali. All categories of the 329 guest rooms surround a tropical garden courtyard and pool. Each room is comfortably appointed with modern touches, and a refreshing Balinese accent on décor. Some room categories feature a private balcony, while others have direct access to the 110m free form pool that is shaded by tropical palms.

  • TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION

(From Ngurah Rai Airport to Sanur)

If you arrive at Ngurah Rai Airport, you can come to Sanur (or the specific conference venue: Sanur Paradise Plaza Hotel) by Taxi in 20-25 minutes. The taxi is available at taxi counter located outside of the arrivals hall (exit arrivals turn right).

Tell the attendant your destination, pay the fare according to the list below and proceed to the taxi with the receipt.

  • CASH EXCHANGE

There is no cash exchange counter or ATM at Sanur Paradise Plaza Hotel.

We recommend you exchange currency at the airport.

 

  • INSURANCE

ICSPI and FISIP UI will not be responsible for personal accidents or damage to the private property of participants.

Participants are advised to make their own arrangements for personal insurance.

 

  • ELECTRICITY

Voltage converter, The voltage in Indonesia is 220V, which is different from North America (120V), Japan (110V) and most other regions of the world.

Indonesian electrical plugs have two, non-polarized pins, as shown. They fit into North American outlets.

  • WATER AND WEATHER

Tap water is not safe for drinking in Indonesia. So, please buy bottled water (mineral water) from store or vending machine at the place.

The weather in Bali is warm.

In October, the temperature prediction in Sanur – Bali will be around 30 – 32 Celcius.
