International Accounting Conference (IAC) is held by Department of Accounting, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Indonesia. The conference facilitates presentation and discussion of the latest research and scientific studies in the field of accounting and finance.

Department of Accounting, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Indonesia has been actively involved in developing research atmosphere in Indonesia, and is amongst the leader in research activities. In accordance with its vision to be internationally recognized as a reputable accounting program, Department of Accounting has been striving to expand the geographical scope of the activity by cooperating with international institutions. In accordance with this purpose, since 2007, Department of Accounting has been organizing conferences for students, educators, researchers, and practitioners both from Indonesia and worldwide, especially Southeast Asia. The conference facilitates presentation and discussion of the latest research and scientific studies in the field of accounting and finance, so that it will benefit the society, especially users of financial statements.

Department of Accounting has held five International Accounting Conference from 2007 to 2014. Department of Accounting has also hosted the Asian-Pacific Conference (APC) and the Asian Academic Accounting Association (AAAA) Annual Conference. All conferences were a success to Department of Accounting with increasing number of participants from various countries over the years.

This year’s conference will be the 6th International International Conference organized by Department of Accounting. The theme for the 6th International Accounting Conference is “The Growth Game Changer: How Accounting Works in the Digital Era”. In addition to the concurrent sessions discussing research papers, this year's conference will provide a session for Innovative Teaching Method and Innovative Research Tool in order to enhance the capability of educators and researchers in the field of accounting and finance.
