Author Guidelines

Important Note: Abstracts must be written in English and should be as concise as possible.Authors are recommended to have their abstracts checked by a native English language editorbefore submission to ensure that the peer review process will exclusively focus on the academic merits.

General Guidelines

Abstracts must be on the following topics:

  1. Innovation in Nutrition Education during Early Childhood
  2. Nutrition and Infection during early childhood
  3. Food and Nutrition Intervention in Early Childhood
  4. Stunting and Malnutrition Reduction Programming
  5. Nutrigenomics/ Nutrigenetics for Early Childhood Nutrition
  6. Food and Nutrition system adaptation in emergency situation and Pandemic
  7. The Use of Technology for Improving Health and Nutrition Practices during Early Childhood
Each abstract must be a structured abstract of not more than 250 words. The abstract shouldconsist of the following headings: Title, Author Names, Affiliations, Objective, Method, Results,Conclusions, and Keywords. All the headings should be used, and there should be a separate paragraph for each one. The abstract should be intelligible without reference to text or figures.

Abstract should be submitted as doc/docx or PDF file in an A4-size paper (i.e., 210 x 297mm). The text must be in Times New Roman font, 12 points, , in one-column format with a 3cm for all margin, and single-spaced. Use of pronouns such as I, we, etc must be avoided.

Details on the abstract headings are as follows:

Abstract Title

A title should be in bold, sentence case (no unnecessary capitalization), no underlining and nofull stop at the end. The title is written in English and should not exceed 20 words. Title shouldbe unambiguous and specific. Do not contain infrequently-used abbreviations. The title of theabstract should be in 16 Pt bold Times New Roman and be justified. The title should have 0 ptsspace above and 0 pts space below.

Authors Name

First name, middle initials if required, and surname with no full stop at the end. Underline thename of the corresponding author. A comma should separate author names. Where authors arefrom a number of different institutions, the appropriate institution number from the affiliation listshould be given as a superscript number immediately after each author's name, e.g.: JohnSmith1 , Susan Jones1 , Bill Fisher2 .


If the authors are presenting an abstract on behalf of a study group, this information should notbe included in the author list, but should appear in an Acknowledgements section. Author namesshould be in 12 Pt Times Roman bold with 0 pts space above and 0 pts space below.

Affiliations

Affiliations should include department, institute, town and country. Where there are multipleaffiliations, each should be listed as a separate paragraph. Each institute should appear in theorder used against the author names (see above paragraph) and show the appropriate superscriptnumber, e.g.:

1 Department, University, Town, State, Zipcode, USA

2 University, Town, State, Postcode, UK

3 Company, Town, State, Postcode, Canada

Objective

Describe the objective of the study. Written in 12 Pt Times New Roman. Please use single linespacing and type the text justified.

Method

Briefly explain the method of the study. Written in 12 Pt Times New Roman. Please use single linespacing and type the text justified.

Results

Concisely explain about the result of the study. Written in 12 Pt Times New Roman. Please usesingle line spacing and type the text justified.

Conclusions

Explain the conclusion of the study. Written in 12 Pt Times New Roman. Please use single linespacing and type the text justified.KeywordsMinimum of 4 keywords or phrases (each containing up to three words) separated by coma (,).

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

  1. The author is responsible for the publication of the Submitted abstract
  2. The author agreed that the abstract will be published according to 1st SEAMEO ICFN format
  3. The authors listed in the abstract agreed for the publication
  4. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another conference for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Director).
  5. The author has written entirely original works, and if the author has used the work and/orwords of others, that this has been appropriately cited or quoted
  6. The author certifies that all the data has been acquired in keeping with recognized ethical research practices
  7. This abstract is submitted with the knowledge and permission of the involved department/ institution concerned
