LOCAL WISDOM AND CONSTRUCTION OF INCLUSION COMMUNITY: LEARNING FROM DISABILITY PEOPLE NAMED KOLOK IN BALI

Abstract


People with Disability are the part of society which has the equal right and living inclusively withothers. This inclusive condition is influenced by some factors, particularly communityparticipation, interpersonal relationship, and social capital that can give reciprocal benefit towardscommunity living, especially to people with disability. There have been 43 persons with thedisability live in Bengkala village called “Kolok”. They are living inclusively with others, mostof Bengkala people understand and using Kolok language to communicate with Kolok people.Even though Kolok language is not perfect as the international standard as and folksy, but thislanguage is easy to be understood by Bengkala people. This paper focuses on identifying the roleof stakeholders in order realising of inclusive living among every people in Bengkala, In anotherhand, this paper digs deeper the role of local wisdom in maintaining social inclusion-based inBengkala village, Buleleng Region, Bali Province, Indonesia.
