The International Conference on Strategic and Global Studies 2025, themed “Development Transition and Social Change In Japan And Asia: Building Sustainability, Innovation, & Global Partnerships For Thriving Future” brings together leading scholars, policymakers, and industry experts to explore the transformative relationship between development growth and societal progress. The conference aims to foster dialogue on resilience-building and sustainable partnerships between Japan and Asian countries, with insights from international perspectives. The rapid pace of industrial development and technological advancement has reshaped the social and economic landscapes of nations around the world. In the context of Japan and ASEAN, fostering sustainable growth while addressing environmental, social, and economic challenges has become increasingly crucial. The pursuit of resilient strategies and collaborative efforts is essential for navigating the complexities of an interconnected global economy.
This conference is a joint initiative by the School of Strategic and Global Studies, Universitas Indonesia (SSGS UI), and Kyushu International University, Japan, in collaboration with Utrecht University, Netherlands, and Universiti Malaya, Malaysia. It seeks to provide a platform for academics, policymakers, and industry leaders to exchange knowledge and insights on sustainable industrial development and social transformation.
The organizing team also includes members from the Kakenhi MEXT project under the JSPS Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (B), titled "Standardization of Halal Standards and the Dynamics of Diversity in the Global Era" (Project Leader: Satomi Ohgata, Kyushu International University, 22H03846). Their participation brings a valuable perspective on the intersections of standardization and diversity of halal standard, and global development, further enriching the conference discourse.
