Abstract


The Covid-19 pandemic has caused massive layoffs due to the paralysis of various economic sectors. But on the other hand, these conditions also provide opportunities for several new types of professions to develop among the community such as traditional medicine therapists due to increased social needs in maintaining body immunity. This research focuses on how the strategy and implementation of the traditional medicine therapist community movement in strengthening the domestic economy of the therapists. This research uses a qualitative-descriptive method that focuses on holistic exposure using interview and observation techniques so that the data obtained can explain the phenomenon of the therapist community movement. The researcher also concluded that the traditional medicine therapy community movement can also make a significant contribution in fulfilling the needs of its therapists, even many members of the community have changed their main livelihood to become traditional medicine therapists. This is due to the increasingly common demand for traditional medicine services and is considered to strengthen the immune system of its consumers, moreover there are special services provided by therapists such as health consultations and a comprehensive healthy lifestyle so as to provide holistic health services.
