Abstract
The phenomenon of radicalism that leads to terrorism in Cilacap City appears along with the penitentiary on Nusakambangan Island where most convicts of terrorism serve their sentences. This has also caused several families and networks of terrorist convicts to settle in Cilacap City, make it possible for them to visit terrorism convicts more often. To anticipate development of radical ideology and movements that lead to terrorism, the Cilacap Subregional Police are carrying out various prevention strategies, one of which is the Community Policing strategy. After conducting a SWOT analysis, it turns out that the Community Policing strategy, that has been implemented by the Cilacap Subregional Police, is not optimal. In order for the Community Policing strategy in preventing radicalism which leads to terrorism to be optimal, it is necessary to make changes and modifications by involving all stakeholders in the Cilacap Subregional Police area. Increasing the capacity of Intelligence Human Resources regarding terrorist activities in Indonesia is something that needs to be implemented immediately.
