Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze the extent of the adaptability of the community in achieving prosperity, through social capital and community motivation in Labuan Bajo. This study uses a deductive/quantitative approach, by choosing 3 main latent variables, namely: (1) social capital; (2) motivation; and (3) welfare. The results of the initial study indicate that there is a direct influence between social capital on motivation, as well as motivation on well-being. For this reason, further research is needed to be able to analyze the indirect effect of social capital through motivation related to social welfare. The sampling technique used was purposive random sampling, adjusting the needs and conditions of the respondents in Labuan Bajo. Data analysis used Lisrel software, according to the characteristics of Structural Equation Modelling (SEM).
