Abstract
The purpose of this article is to describe the illustration of Adversity Quotient and Psychological Well-being on Mualaf, particularly in the post-conversion time. The research was conducted on four adult Mualafs whom conversion period passed 5 years or early critical years. The methodology used in this research is qualitative with case study through instrinsic approach which the data is gathered by interview, subsequently analysed with intra-subject and inter-subject approach. Adversity Quotient measured by four dimensions of CORE comprise of control, ownership, reach, also endurance of Mualaf. Meanwhile, Psychological Well-being measured by six shaping-dimensions which exhibit self- acceptance, environmental mastery, positive relations and purpose in life, likewise personal growth and autonomy in faith. The discovery of this research is resulted in majority Mualafs who become the subjects are having climber type of Adversity Quotient which means they are able to control and overcome the problems. Despite some diverse in gaining the ability, they are able to strive and fight to resolve any pressure or multidimensional adversity. Therefore, majority of Mualaf’s Psychological Well-being are on a positive and constructive attitude, because they can happily live, contented and satisfied with the current life which based on Islamic teachings. Thus, they feel serenity, beauty and peace in life after practicing Islam more intesively on the daily basis.
