Abstract


The case of cyber slavery in Cambodia shocked the world. This is a significant alarm about how the problem of human trafficking has not and will never be solved with various new modes being sophisticated all the time. In this case, digital technology becomes the intermediary. Therefore, by studying cases of cyber slavery in Cambodia, this research wants to present a critical reflection on the case using qualitative methods. In-depth interviews with victims of cyber slavery originating from Indonesia and related officials will be conducted to gather further information to complement the bibliographical study of this matter. After comprehensive information has been obtained, this research will elaborate it in a critical reflection format so that the prevention aspects of this cyber slavery crime will be formulated properly and can minimize the number of victims who are entangled in the future.
