Abstract


This study aims to determine the use of Geography learning media and those used by georaphy teachers based on differences in school locations. In addition, it is also to obtain information on knowledge and understanding of educators in using virtual reality as a learning medium for Geography. The respondents in this study were Geography Teachers at the Senior High School level who taught in the West Java province. The method used in this study is descriptive using a surve y approach. The results of this study show that 60 percent of Geography teachers still use power point learning media without adding animations, or videos. Meanwhile, 30 percent have added, modified the appearance of the power point and 10 percent have utilized various media other than power points. When viewed based on the location of the school, Geography teachers who use power points without making modifications, add elements that attract students to teach in schools in rural areas. Meanwhile, Geography teachers who teach in urban areas are already more familiar with presentation learning media other than power points. In addition, they also know virtual reality technology that can be used as a medium for learning Geography.
