Abstract


Pesanggrahan has a diversity of biodiversity and geodiversity features that have the potential to be developed as edu-ecotourism. Biodiversity diversity in the form of vegetation found in protected forests and production forests in South Malang. Meanwhile, the appearance of geodiversity is in the form of a geological arrangement composed of the Wonosari formation (Tmwl) which can be seen by the development of the karst area and the Alluvium (Qa) formation which can be seen by the presence of river material deposits. The purpose of this study is to describe, analyze, and identify the potential of the Pesanggrahan area and its surroundings in the edu-ecotourism development plan in preparing Forest Areas with Special Purposes at the Universitas Negeri Malang. This research is a qualitative descriptive research with SWOT analysis method. Data collection was carried out by field surveys to determine the physical potential of Pesanggrahan and a questionnaire given to the people of Srigonco Village to determine public perceptions of the development of Pesanggrahan Edu-ecotourism. The results showed that Pesanggrahan has physical potential to be developed as edu-ecotourism. In addition, the community also has a positive perception of the development of Pesanggrahan Edu-ecotourism.
