Abstract


Disaster mitigation is the reduction or limitation of adverse impacts caused by a hazard or disaster. The Sirenja District area became the epicenter of the earthquake and tsunami disaster in Dongala Regency, Central Sulawesi 2018. This study aims to analyze the form of community participation in tidal flood disaster mitigation in Lompio Village, Sirenja District, Donggala Regency, Central Sulawesi. This study uses qualitative research methods with research variables, namely community participation in tidal flood disaster mitigation. The results of this study indicate that various kinds of participation have been carried out by the Lompio Village community in preventing and overcoming the tidal flood disaster in Lompio Village such as doing community service in repairing water channels and replacing broken water pipes so that the sewer water runs smoothly.
