This paper explains some issues in Geography  and applied geography for development Geography is one of the rare diciplines . Geography as cross  science between natural science and social Science . This makes geography one of the most complex ,wide subject related to geosphere. The object study of geography are  geosphere , biosphere and anthroposphere by using spatial, ecological and regional complex approach. Several branches of geography mainly Physical Geography, Human Geography and Regional Geography . The geography modern or super modern is main issues in era Industrial Revolution 4.0. In era digital,   there are some global development issues such as climate change , sustainable development goals , water ,energy ,environment and disaster , food ,  global health, social and economic crisis .  Reorientation of Geography as cross science is very important for the  future era especially to solve the global issue by using high technology such as remote sensing , GIS and simulation modelling . The fundamental  five  themes of geography are  : location , place ,region movement and human environment  interaction. The five  themes of geography can be used in  sectoral and spatial development at micro to macro level .  Research and Development in applied geography can be used to improve  education of geography and problem solving at local, regional and national or global level.  Applied geography will be an important subject to be developed in the future by using high technology .In the reality,  applied geography , geography innovation and geography digital are already used in teaching, sectoral development, spatial development , regional development, social economic development, environment and disease, natural resources developmnent  and infrastructure development.
