Abstract


Mining activities can change land use, one of which is agricultural land. Land farm continues to change rapidly or slowly. The evolution of agricultural land that occurs can be in the form of shape, area, and land function. This paper was prepared to determine the evolution of agricultural land due to the expansion of limestone mining in Leles District 2011-2021 to support further research. Data collection utilizes historical Google Earth images, secondary data, and land farm surveys in Leles District, Garut Regency 2011-2021. Image assessment by interpreting land changes in shape, area, and land function. Then, the data were analyzed and linked to the existing literature. The study results show the area's evolution and utilization of agricultural land due to mining developments. The expansion of the mining area has converted the surrounding land farm. The location of mining increased while the area of agricultural land decreased.
