Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.

 

Author Guidelines

  1. The paper shall contain an Abstract of no more than 200 words, Keywords, Reference List, and short Bio of the author(s).
  2. Length: the paper shall be between 3,000 – 3,500 words (excluding Abstract, Reference List, and Bio).
  3. Font, Space and Margin: Times New Roman size 12, space 1.5, margin 1 inch on all sides.
  4. Title & Subtitle: the title and subtitle (if any) shall be printed at the top of the page in bold, and only the full words begin with capital letters.
  5. The paper shall contain the full name(s) of the author(s) without any title or degree; name of department and institutional affiliation; email address(es) of the author(s)—all of these come right below the paper’s title and above the Abstract.
  6. The paper shall begin with an introductory section explaining the background of the research, why the topic is chosen, research problem identification, and the objective of the paper.
  7. The body of the paper shall contain brief literature survey, data/finding presentation, and analysis presented in a concise and systematic manner.
  8. The final section is the concluding section, showing the result of the analysis, recommendation (if any), and statements of how the research result may contribute to the scholarship and exchange of thoughts in the related field.
  9. Page numbering: bottom centre of every printed page (without any header or footer).
  10. Format: only paper in document format (.doc) is accepted, so do not submit a PDF paper.
  11. The paper shall not contain footnotes or endnotes; all references shall be embedded in paragraphs, using the Harvard system (author-date system).
  12. Reference List: please refer to the current edition of the APA (American Psychological Association) Style (Visit the following link for information:http://web.calstatela.edu/library/guides/3apa.pdf).
  13. Author’s Bio note: shall not be more than 100 words at the bottom of the last page of the paper.
  14. Selected papers will be published in internationally indexed publication.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another conference for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Director).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. All URL addresses in the text (e.g., http://pkp.sfu.ca) are activated and ready to click.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Conference.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed track of the conference, authors' names are removed from submission, with "Author" and year used in the bibliography and footnotes, instead of authors' name, paper title, etc.
  7. If submitting to peer review, all Microsoft Office documents (including Supplementary Files) have been saved by going to File and selecting Save As; clicking Tools (or Options in a Mac); clicking Security; selecting "Remove personal information from file properties on save"; clicking Save.

Authors who submit to this conference agree to the following terms:
a) Authors retain copyright over their work, while allowing the conference to place this unpublished work under a Creative Commons Attribution License, which allows others to freely access, use, and share the work, with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and its initial presentation at this conference.
b) Authors are able to waive the terms of the CC license and enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution and subsequent publication of this work (e.g., publish a revised version in a journal, post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial presentation at this conference.
c) In addition, authors are encouraged to post and share their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) at any point before and after the conference.
