Abstract

This study intends to see how cognitive processes occur when someone modifies information and recognizes non-verbal reactions that appear simultaneously when individuals lie. The subjects of this study are divided into two, the first being 25 adults with the sex of the man and the woman we involve to get the cognitive linguistic processat lying, as well as 20 adults which are then divided into 2 groups to see the reactions that arise when someone lies, namely the experimental group and the control group. The analytical method we use is the reproducibilitive coefficient of the Guttman’s scale model, as well as the laboratory experiment method to analyze the reactions that arise when someone lies. The calculated results of the reproducibility coefficient get five systematic stages. Comparative calculation results between groups that said the truth, and who did not say the truth, showed a significant difference in the appearance of the eyebrow reaction, the eye to the left, the reaction to the lips, a smile, and a pause before throwing an answer.
