The International Conference of Strategic and Global Study (ICSGS) is an annual agenda that aims as think tank and evaluation of multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research application. ICSGS 2018 is the second international conference held by School of Strategic and Global Study of University of Indonesia. This year, the conference raises the topic of gender, urban space and global circulation. The issues of gender and urban development are increasingly complex with many problem influenced by the global circulation. This conference is pivotal for providing ideas and lessons learned of the researchers in local, national and international circumstance.

 

Discussed topics are detailed in several subtopics. The first subtopic is gender issues raising in the urban space with the influence of global migration intensity. The second is limited urban space that needs to be managed in sustainable environment. The third subtopic is gender, public health condition in urban and global circumstance. The fourth is resilience and vulnerability of urban space that need any anticipation for potential disaster. The fifth is the discussion how to avoid violence of sexuality and violence of gender in urban space. The sixth is the evolution and revolution of urban art and creativity that needs to be appreciated. The seventh is the diversity of communities that needs tolerance to live peacefully in a plural urban life. The eighth is the failure of synergy and harmony among groups that will cause unsatisfied groups who potentially triggering terrorism and illegal drug distribution to achieve their dreams. The ninth is the advancement of digital technology and information in urban space that will change urban life structurally. Those topics are related with the fifth and eleventh goals of SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).

 

This conference is an opportunity to meet and to synergize each other for all of urban stakeholders such as the policy makers, the government, society, divers community and business actors. This conference could be a magnet to unite the gender observers and urban development initiators. Therefore, the discussion would be a pivotal opportunity for practitioners and all professions who live in the urban space and its surrounding. Students and any participants should not leave this conducive ambience for learning gender issues and understanding urban problems.

  • If your submission has the status of "Awaiting Upload" or "Incomplete", you are already in the stage of submitting revised papers, this can be completed until 1 September, 2019. We suggest author to revised the submission soon after the notification of acceptance has been received (starting from 22 July, 2019) to accelerate the process for publishing.
  • If your submission seems disappear and turns out to be in the "Archived" category, no need to worry because as long as you have received a notification that your submission has been ACCEPTED, then you only need to continue the registration process and conference payment (contact us immidiately if you feel you not received the notification of your submission at this conference). We will help you to restore your submission back to the list for revision and final submission for publishing purposes.
