Background : Jackfruit seeds (Artocarpus heterophyllus Lam.) are traditional medicines that can develop to be standardized herbal medicines. Scientific evidence of its safety, especially in pregnancy, is important to know, one way is through teratogenic testing. Objective: This study aims to determine the effect of giving extracts on fetal mouse development. Materials and Methods: Rat were divided into six experimental groups, normal group, positive group, negative group, dose 1 (100 mg/kgBW), dose 2 (200 mg/kgBW) and dose 3 (400 mg/KgBW). The extract  is given during organogenesis on the 6th day to the 15th day of pregnancy. On the 18th day of pregnancy, rats are dissected to be observed by the fetus. Results:  The results showed no defects both physically and morphologically in fetal rats.Conclusion : 70% ethanol extract of jackfruit seeds is categorized as a non-teratogenic substance against white rat.
