Abstract
Backgorund: Green tea (Camellia Sinensis) and tea tree oil (Melaleuca Altenifolia) has been known for its antimicrobial effects. Objective: The aims of this study is to formulate and evaluate anti-acne facial mask containing green tea leaves extract from Bah Butong and community trade tea tree oil. Materials and Methods: Anti-acne mask were prepared into six formula F0, F1, F2, F3, F4, and F5 using 5% green tea leaves extract with variation of tea tree oil 0.5%, 1.5%, 2.5% and 5%. The prepared mask were evaluated various for physical parameters such as pH, colour, odor, homogenity, spreadability, and stability test in climatic chamber for one month. Results: The results of this study showed that the mask has pH of 6, green colour, strong green tea and tea tree smell, homogen, spreadable, and stable which means no change of pH, colour, odor, and smell of mask. Conclution: The formulated formula can be used to formulate mud mask with a good physical properties.
