Nation’s sovereignty, integrity, and safety of a nation should be protected through dynamic defense system which is able to deal with threats is needed along with technological and industrial developments. The multi-layered defense system applied in Indonesia should be accommodated with good defense management in order to mobilize all components of society in national defense based on science and technology. The Industrial Revolution 4.0 urge all defense institutions to transform and the defense system to the more sophisticated defense system. The method developed in this journal is descriptive and non-experimental. This journal tries to analyze how Indonesian military defense management is conducted in Industry 4.0 revolution. This study uses secondary data analyis. Secondary data was obtained from research journals, books, survey results, and scientific articles. The method used for the data collections is carried out by the author using a systematic method, referring to some literatures by identifying various inputs and information. Due to the changes in the strategic and geopolitical environment, defense management must be developed based on technology and industry to face the opportunities and challenges Revolution 4.0. Defense management must be prepared to carry out various forms of threats by preparing national resources and competent human resources.
