Abstract – Rip is the name of this phenomenon. Rips can occur at the beach where has a breaking waves, at the beaches, seas, oceans. Rips are major case of drowning on the beach cause fatality. Many case happens due to rip current, but have long-standing miscopception. Annual death due to rips, many cases of drowining death. Rips occur on the surf zone. Rips influenced by wave, coastal structure and coastal area. Rips are unpredictble where and when will happened. Beach area identification is important for consideration before jump through to the shore to do an activity. Sign board and safety promotion could be helpfull to recognize rips. Those prevent accident caused by rips. The method of this research literature collect from many sources such as at science direct, genesis library, then twenty two journals been synthesized to obtain information to provided this research. This research to be conducted due to generally lacking knowledge and attention around rips. Indentified to not get trap and prosedur how to escape is the purposal of this research. The result says that, calm area is the dangers area, due to current flow toward to the sea. Yellow and red flag means undersupervisied and patroll area by coast guard. Gaints the rip current to get back the land just make exhaustion. The conclusion of this paper are, avoid the calm areas, one beach might have more than one rips. Warning sign on the beach could be helpful.
