Abstract

The low student learning outcomes in basics electricity subjects because students lack science process skills. This is due to the fact that in the classroom learning activities the teacher still uses conventional teaching. Many of the studies that have been carried out show that discovery learning teaching benefits students. This study aims to determine the effect of teaching discovery learning on science process skills and learning outcomes in basics electrical subjects. The research method is an experiment to compare teaching discovery dan conventional learning. The research data were analyzed using multivariate analysis of valiance (MANOVA). The results of this study are useful for teachers to be applied in activities to teach electrical basics subjects that pursue the field of electrical engineering in technology and vocational education.

Key word: Discovery learning, science process skills, results of learning basics electrical subjects.
