Evaluation of Tsunami Evacuation Route in Kalianda District, South Lampung
Last modified: 2022-11-15
Abstract
The Kalianda coastal area, South Lampung Regency is one of the areas potentially affected by a tsunami due to the existence of the Anak Karakatau Volcano and plate subduction pathways in the Sunda Strait. One of the steps to anticipate a tsunami hazard is to create a tsunami evacuation route in a tsunami-prone area. The objective of this research is to evaluate tsunami evacuation routes. Tsunami hazard identification is carried out using a numerical modeling method by modeling the potential distribution of tsunami wave heights on the coast using COMCOT. Evacuation route modeling using a network analyst with the CASPER algorithm The results of the identification of potential tsunami hazards show that there are existing assembly point locations that are still in the moderate hazard zone, with M 8.2 modeling. Based on the results of the evaluation of the evacuation route, there are routes that still have the potential to be inundated by the tsunami, so it can be a recommendation for the government to build TEA/TES vertically on the site.
