Abstract

Landslide is a disaster with the highest frequency of occurrence in Garut Regency, which has caused various losses, loss of property, damage to infrastructure, and even casualties. Identification of landslide-prone areas can be used as a point in efforts to overcome landslides. The purpose of this study is to map landslide-prone areas in Garut Regency. The research method uses a Complete Mapping Analysis (CMA) model and a Geographic Information System (GIS) with 5 parameters determining the occurrence of landslides which include land use, slope, geology, rainfall, and elevation, and 1 parameter of landslide occurrence location as a comparison parameter. The results showed that the CMA and GIS models of the 5 parameters used contributed to the occurrence of landslides as indicated by the weight values for each parameter. Geology of land use and slopes gives a high weight value to the occurrence of landslides in this area with weight values of 30.29, 29.84, and 17.71. The results of the delineation of landslide-prone areas show 9.99% of Garut Regency is a very high vulnerable area and 16, 18% is a high vulnerable area, which is generally spread in the southern part of the Cisompet, Pakenjeng, and Talegong sub-districts.
