Abstract

The Dilem Wilis area is one of the Techno Science Parks located in the Wilis Mt, Trenggalek Regency, East Java. The are intrusive igneous rocks with andesite in several stop site with Jaten (Tmj) formation. This site become one of the attractions for geological geosites. In addition, in this area there are various kinds of biodiversity that are currently being conserved as iconic Dilem Wilis. The existence of intensive weathering causes this area is also very intensive for natural hazard i.e erosion and landslides. The purpose of this research is to explore geomorphosite and natural hazard in the form of andesite intrusive rocks and natural hazard erosion amd landslides. The method used in this study uses a geomorphological approach, such morphochronology, arrangement, genesis and morphology through survey techniques and rock sampling. Based on the results of geomorphological analysis, it shows that Dilem Wilis is part of the Southern Mountains of East Java with a rough relief surface formed by Tertiary volcanic rocks that have experienced erosion over a long period of time since the Middle Miocene with rock types in the form of sandstone, tuff with insertions of volcanic breccia, marl and limestone. The existence of an intensive process of erosion and weathering makes this area to have high potentially of landslides in various land covers. We have identified 55 landslides with landslide typology i.e creeping, translational, and rotational types. The geomorphological and geological processes of the past and are now one of the key factors to make Dilem Wilis Techno Science a representative geomorphosite to be used as a geological geomorphosite and natural hazard geosite
