Feasibility Study on The Development of Astrotourism in Kuningan Botanical Garden

Abstract


Astrotourism provide dark-sky resources utilized for education, tourism, and cultural activities. Kuningan Botanical Garden has the potential of astrotourism. This research aimed to conduct a feasibility study on the development of astrotourism in Kuningan Botanical Garden, Kuningan Regency, West Java Province. The feasibility study was implemented to determine the possible continuity of a researched object. Steps of conducting feasibility study consists of: economic feasibility; technical feasibility; operational feasibility; and schedule feasibility. Design of this study was a quantitative study through indirect observation method. Data obtained for this research were Sky Quality Meter (SQM) and measurement of Radiance Light Trends. This study indicated that the development of astrotourism in Kuningan Botanical Garden is feasible to be carried.
