Abstract. DKI Jakarta has a high potential for flooding disasters, especially in Kampung Melayu Village. The aim of this study was to analyze the preparedness of the students of SMPN 26 in facing the flood disaster in Kampung Melayu Village. The slovin formula was used to calculate the respondent, the number of respondents was 73 people were taken from the population with a Proportional Random Sampling technique. The data analysis technique used was the scoring technique and the analysis of the difference test. The results showed that the level of preparedness of students was in the ready category. Based on the results of the Independent Sample T-Test, the value of t count is -2.029 > t table 1.668, it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that there is a difference between male and female preparedness. So it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between preparedness in men and women.
