Abstract

The tourism industry in Indonesia is one of the sectors that contributes to GDP, which ranges from 4% - 4.8% in the last five years. In the progress of tourism, government assistance and data collection on the potential level of tourism locations are still not maximized in Cilawu District, Garut Regency, as a guide for tourism management and development strategies. Therefore, this study aims to determine the potential of tourism locations in the Cilawu sub-district. The dependent variable in this study is the level of a potential area, while the independent variable is 4A, namely attraction, amenity, accessibility, and ancillary, which has sub-variables. The data obtained were processed using ArcGIS Pro and Microsoft Excel. The analysis technique in this study was carried out using quantitative and descriptive analysis that was correlated with the scoring method. The results of this study indicate that there are two tourist attraction locations that are quite potential, two have potential, and three are very possible. Factor 4A in Cilawu District is still inadequate and needs to be improved by local governments and community organizations as a form of better tourism development. The tourism industry in Indonesia is one of the sectors that contributes to GDP, which ranges from 4% - 4.8% in the last five years.
