Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the heroic leadership as a mediator of spirituality intelligence and emotional intelligence effect to work achievement on agency manager of PT. Prudential Life Assurance in Jakarta. Research method used in this study is quantitative approach by structural equation modeling (SEM) technique with the help of Software Smart PLS 3.0. Population of all agency managers of PT. Prudential Life Assurance in Jakarta is 400 subjects. Sampling technique with purposive sampling, and the number of samples determined 96 respondents. Research instrument for emotional intelligence used in this study is adapted and modified by Manurung based on Goleman concept. Whereas, spirituality intelligence instrument used in this study is adapted and modified by Manurung based on Zohar and Marshall concept. Research instrument for heroic leadership is constructed by Manurung as a researcher based on Lowney concept. Whereas work achievement instrument is constructed by Manurung which are; (a) traits aspect; (b) behavioral aspect; and (c) managerial aspect. Researcher creates the following hypothesis: (1) emotional intelligence has a significant positive influence to work achievement on agency manager of PT. Prudential Life Assurance in Jakarta; (2) spiritual intelligence has a significant positive to work achievement on agency manager of PT. Prudential Life Assurance in Jakarta; and (3) heroic leadership as a mediator has a significant positive effect to work achievement on agency manager of PT. Prudential Life Assurance in Jakarta. The findings show that: (1) emotional intelligence has a significant positive influence to the work achievement of agency manager. It is shown by the g value = 0.587 and the result t count 2.994 with p value (0.005). It is because the t count 2.994 > critical and t value 1.96 (significance level=5%) and p value (0.005) < 0.05, (2) spirituality intelligence has a significant positive effect on agency manager work achievement. It is shown by the g value = 0.472 and the result t count 2.934 with p value (0.000). It is because the   t count 2.934 > critical t value 1.96 (significance level=5%) and p value (0.000) < 0.05; and (3) heroic leadership has a significant positive effect to work achievement on the agency manager of PT. Prudential Life Assurance in Jakarta. It is shown by the g value = 0.353 and the result t count 2.232 with p value (0.027). It is because the t count 2.232 > critical t value 1.96 (significance level=5%) and p value (0.027) < 0.05. The contribution of this research is to provide data and input, that emotional intelligence, spirituality intelligence and heroic leadership affect the work achievement on agency   managers. Therefore, PT. Prudential Life Assurance is recommended to conduct an activity of training and learning program that aims to improve emotional intelligence, spirituality intelligence, and heroic leadership of agency managers.
