Reliability and Validity Empiric of Adolescents’ Self-concept Short Scale (ASCSS) among SMA Taruna Nala Students

Abstract


Self-concept in adolescent is important in education. Therefore it takes standardized psychological instruments. Adolescents' Self-concept Short Scale (ASCSS) has been widely used in many countries, making it attractive to be tested in Indonesian adolescents. The purpose of this research is to know the reliability and validity of Adolescents' Self-concept Short Scale (ASCSS). The method used is quantitative with confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). The subject of this research is the students of SMA Taruna Nala Malang in class X number 180 students. The CFA results show that Adolescents' Self-concept Short Scale (ASCSS) has good psychometric qualities which is indicated by reliability and validity scores. In conclusion Adolescents' Self-concept Short Scale (ASCSS) can be used for research and practical purposes related to self-concept in education.
