Abstract
Objective : The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of discharge planning management intervention on length of stay and patient satisfaction at the hospital.
Method : This study was a quasi-experimental study with 92 respondents who were divided into 2 groups, namely the intervention group and the control group. The intervention group was given a discharge planning management intervention(by adding Blaylock Risk Assessment Screening Score (BRASS) at the assessment stage) and the control group given discharge planning according to what was done in the hospital. Both groups measured length of stay and patient satisfaction before and after intervention. The length of stay was seen from the patient's medical record and was compared with the clinical pathway in the hospital.
Result : The results showed that discharge planning management intervention in the intervention group improved the length of stay in DM, pulmonary TB and DHF (p = 0.0001) with the standard length of hospital stay and increasing patient satisfaction at the hospital (p = 0.002).
Conclution : Intervention Management Discharge Planning effectively increases the suitability of the length of stay of patients with a standard length of hospital stay and increases patient satisfaction. Keywords: BRASS, dischargeplanning management intervention, patient satisfaction, length of stay.
