Abstract

Jakarta is one of the metropolitan areas in Southeast Asia. Located in the north of Java Island, Jakarta is located in the lowlands with an average height of 7 meters above sea level. As the capital city that has coastal areas, the city is very strategic to be optimized in order to support the implementation of development. However, on the other hand, coastal areas are also areas that are very vulnerable to tidal flooding. Future floods (rob) can be even greater with the phenomenon of land subsidence. This reduction in groundwater can lead to subsidence and sea water intrusion which will have an impact on increasing the area affected by tidal floods. The objectives of this study are: 1) to find out patterns of changes in land use; 2) produce a prediction model of tidal affected areas due to changes in land use and land subsidence. Predictions of land use change are developed using the Cellular Automata model. The results of this study indicate areas affected by tidal flooding due to changes in land use and land subsidence phenomena.
