Abstract

Establishing and providing integrated waste management is one way to reach sustainable cities. Meanwhile, in large cities, especially in developing countries such as DKI Jakarta, Indonesia, waste management is still classified as poor. Besides that, the behavior of the DKI Jakarta community is classified as not caring about waste management. Therefore, this study will describe the condition of waste management and the role of stakeholders in waste management through analysis of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Research data is obtained through many sources such as journals, government reports, and reports of non-government organizations. The results of the analysis of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats show that the government and the community can offer an overview of the conditions of waste management and the obstacles in them. In addition, several strategies have been formed, where this strategy can be useful for the DKI Jakarta government in developing environmental management systems and waste management systems.
