METHAN GAS UTILIZATION ANALYSIS FROM AMOUNT ORGANIC WASTE VOLUME IN TPA PUUWATU KOTA KENDARI

Abstract


The purpose of the study was to determine the volume of organic waste that would be processed into methane gas and the amount of electrical energy generated from methane gas is generated from the volume of waste. The research method was carried out by literature review and field survey. Data collection was carried out at the Tempat Pembuangan Akhir(TPA) and Kantor Dinas Kebersiha Kota, by meeting people directly related to the landfill management process. The results of the study revealed that the average volume of waste from January to July 2018 was 5,278 M3, where the total volume of waste from January 2018 to July 2018 is 39,869.5 M3. Whereas the amount of electrical energy that has been utilized by the TPA's independent energy settlement is 394,200 kWh.
