Bright skin remains to be symbol of beauty for women in some countries, Including Indonesia. Therefore, cosmetic product containing brightening agent is still on demand. Tyrosinase inhibition is one of the mechanism to obtain brightening effect from cosmetic product. Accumulation of tyrosinase results in dermatological damages for example  melisma, age spot, and actinic keratosis. Black rice bran extract is a natural agent that have potential as tyrosinase inhibitor. Black rice bran extracted with 96% ethanol shows inhibition < 60% at concentration 500 ppm.
